ena Development Consultants, together with business development, marketing & communications consultant Nana Zygoura, took part as facilitators on Marketing planning topics at the pan-European event BrainTrainer x Businessbooster: Mind your Business, organized by the ESTIEM team of Democritus University of Thrace.
The goal of the event was to develop the skills that are useful for creating a startup. During the event, participants, split into teams, were asked to create startups based on their own ideas.
The pan-European event Mind your Business was organized by ESTIEM LG Xanthi, the local group of the European Students of Industrial Engineering and Management (ESTIEM) based at the Department of Production and Management Engineering of the School of Engineering of Democritus University of Thrace.
ESTIEM is a non-profit, non-governmental and non-political organization that connects European students whose studies combine technological insight with management skills. Its goal is to establish and develop relationships among students across Europe, while supporting their professional and personal development.
The pan-European event Mind your Business took place from April 2 to 9 at the facilities of Democritus University in Xanthi. The program included talks on Market Research, Finance and Funding and Marketing, workshops, events and more. Participants also had the chance to discover the beauty of Xanthi, tasting local products, touring the city and the House of Shadow, and visiting the facilities of the international technology company Sunlight Group Energy Storage Systems.
Young people from Germany, Norway, Turkey and, of course, Greece took part in the pan-European Mind your Business event. Three teams were formed, and they had the opportunity to develop and present their business ideas (ROOMY, Capsule and ClApp). The winner of this informal competition, held in a spirit of cooperation and friendly rivalry, was the team behind ClApp, which proposed an app that makes it easier to find staff for house cleaning.
Fully in line with, and complementing, the goals of ESTIEM and the Mind your Business event, an incubator is coming to operate, providing a complete program of activities to support startups.
ena Development Consultants and the business consultancy FM-EPICHEIREIN, with their many years of experience and know-how in entrepreneurship, will undertake the creation and operation of the business incubator of Democritus University of Thrace, which will host startups for a period of 24 months.
The Incubator's purpose is to strengthen, grow and open up an innovation ecosystem through support and advisory services for startups. It is aimed at people with innovative and groundbreaking ideas who, with the right, specialized support from experts in their first steps, will have the opportunity to turn their ideas, just as at the Mind your Business event, into a new, dynamic business.
The mission of ena Development Consultants remains to contribute to the business, economic and social development of Xanthi and the wider Region of Eastern Macedonia & Thrace in which it operates. With the creation of the Startup Incubator in the Xanthi area, ena continues to faithfully serve its mission, contributing to innovation, startup entrepreneurship and wider social benefit.
