The event titled “Innovative Technologies & Current Requirements in the Animal Feed Market”, organized by Agrothraki S.A. – Stavrakaras Panagiotis Agricultural Products Trading with the support of ena Development Consultants and in collaboration with the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), came to a close with great success.
The event took place on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, in the brand-new event hall of ena Development Consultants. Its purpose was, on the one hand, to inform the public about the challenges and opportunities for developing innovative activities in livestock farming, agriculture and agri-food and, on the other, to present the results of the research carried out by Agrothraki S.A. in collaboration with the National Technical University of Athens under the measure “Investment Plans for Innovation, Research & Development in the RIS3 priority sector” of the Operational Program “Eastern Macedonia & Thrace” (NSRF 2014–2020).
During the event's main presentations, NTUA researcher Christina Drosou presented remotely (via Zoom) both the research programs NTUA takes part in and the project it is carrying out with Agrothraki SA, along with its important results so far.
Welcome addresses were given by the Chairman & CEO of Agrothraki S.A., Panagiotis Stavrakaras, and the representative of the Special Managing Authority of Eastern Macedonia & Thrace, Konstantina Athanasiou.
Finally, attendees followed with great interest the presentation of Precision Agriculture applications by Dr. Aristotelis Tagarakis, Researcher at the Institute of Bio-Economy & Agri-Technology, as well as the presentation by the General Manager of ena Development Consultants, Dimitris Bardakidis, who spoke about the current challenges in Developing the Agricultural Sector and Sub-measure 2.1 “Use of advisory services in the agricultural sector”, which gives farmers access to advisory support on important matters concerning their holdings at no cost.
