The talk by author Nikolas Smyrnakis in Xanthi concluded with great success and a large audience from the area and beyond. The event, titled “18 versions of Love”, was based on the author’s new book “The Letters of Love”.

The event was organised by Dioptra Publishing in collaboration with Pyrgeli Bookshop on Wednesday 22 November and was hosted at the premises of ena Development Consultants, specifically at #enahub, a meeting point for people and ideas from every field, with the shared goal of growth, education, innovation and entrepreneurship.

The event was attended by representatives of particularly active local associations: the Xanthi Voluntary Blood Donors Association “I Agapi”, the Mandra Cultural Association and Adespotoulia Xanthis, who, driven by love, give and contribute to the different fields in which they are active.

The audience was welcomed by Therapon Fakas, Electrical Engineer & Life and Business Coach (Coach the Day), who introduced the book by referring to passages from it and to the emotions and questions it can awaken in the reader.

Next, a stir was caused by the presentation of the new work by the well-known Xanthi artist and creator of the exhibition “The House of Shadow”, Triantafyllos Vaitsis, titled “Break the Silence”. Mr Vaitsis spoke about the idea behind the creation of this shadow sculpture, which was based on his love for his fellow human beings and was essentially born before the eyes of the audience, who followed this part of the event with undiminished interest.

The third part of the event overflowed with emotion, a poetic mood and deep philosophical reflections on love, as the author of the book, the charismatic and much-loved Mr Smyrnakis, spoke about the substitutes for love as well as its different versions.

At the end of the talk, the author chatted with the audience and signed copies of his books.

The event was supported by the #enaevents team, which designs and delivers informational, educational and scientific events and conferences, in-person, hybrid and remote, in the physical and the digital world.

We thank Mr Smyrnakis for this unique “dive” into emotion, all the organisers and contributors to the event for their cooperation and positive energy, and the audience who honoured the event with their presence.
