From 16 to 18 October 2026, Xanthi became a meeting point for the promotion of breastfeeding, through the Breastfeeding Conference “Milena Rouskova 2026”.
The conference was organised by the General Hospital of Xanthi, in collaboration with the Department of Midwifery of the International Hellenic University and the Association of Midwife Scientists of the Komotini Court of Appeal District, under the auspices of the School of Medicine of the Democritus University of Thrace and with the support of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.
The scientific and educational value of the event was strengthened by its recognition by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE), which approved it for 20.25 Continuing Education Recognition Points in breastfeeding (L-CERPs), under decision 326115K.
The scientific programme covered a wide range of topics, highlighting the different aspects of breastfeeding. The sessions included:

- Breastfeeding Techniques and Clinical Skills
