Free training seminar on:
“Creating an exportable product & export procedures”
The Xanthi Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with ENTERPRISE GREECE, in order to help properly inform the country's potential exporting businesses and exporters who are mostly at an early stage, is holding a free 8-hour training seminar on “Creating an exportable product & export procedures”.
The goal of this seminar is to give participants a thorough understanding of everything that makes up a successful export effort, so as to avoid confusion, wrong steps and therefore wasted time and money. The seminar is structured to answer potential exporters' questions about how to approach the export process, without unnecessary theory.
The seminar material includes, among others, the following topics:
• Creating and registering trademarks.
• Creating an exportable product (from the marketing side), i.e. design, packaging (container, label), certifications.
• Product labeling – barcodes etc.
• Creating communication tools.
• Choosing foreign markets and adapting products to them.
• Methodology for finding customers in target markets.
• Actions required to find customers.
• International Trade Fairs (how to choose the right Fair and the steps to organize your presence).
• B2B meetings and how to prepare for them properly.
• How to talk with prospective customers; drawing up commercial agreements.
• What a commercial agreement includes.
• Delivery methods – use of International Commercial Terms.
• Payment methods – working with banks.
• Cargo and customer insurance.
• Costing an exported product; VAT on exports.
• Export accompanying documents etc.
• Special features – special export regime for third countries regarding cargo inspection and certification (issuing special certificates etc.)
• Using suitable databases to obtain useful data. Making use of our commercial attachés.
The seminar will take place in the meeting room of the Xanthi Chamber of Commerce on November 6 & 7, 2017, Monday & Tuesday, and will last 4 hours each day, from 17:00 to 21:00.
After the seminar, Certificates of Attendance will be given to those who attended.
