The eMT cluster took part in the event “InventorX: Contemporary Greek Inventors” at Thessaloniki City Hall on Saturday, March 11, 2023.

The eMT cluster, with ena Development Consultants as its Supporting Body, backed the effort of Mind the Minds to showcase contemporary Greek inventors and patent holders.

The event gave inventors the opportunity to present their work, network and learn about the opportunities that exist in this dynamic invention ecosystem in Greece and internationally. The event highlighted the need for a modern space of expression and interaction for Greek inventiveness, through which it can regain at least some of the comparative advantages it currently lacks.

ena Development Consultants, Supporting Body of the eMT cluster, the first Innovation & Technology Cluster in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, was there, informing students, professors and researchers from science schools, entrepreneurs, investors and representatives of Greek universities, as well as general visitors, about the digital transformation solutions the cluster offers.

Stelios Kotopoulos, Project Manager of the eMT cluster and Research Program Development Consultant at ena Development Consultants, presented the scope and the innovations brought together by the eMT cluster's technology ecosystem.

Mind the Minds is a Non-Profit Civil Company (AMKE) of 6 people from all over Greece, based in Delphi, that aims to showcase contemporary Greek inventors and patent holders. In the period since its previous event, held on January 2, 2022, Mind the Minds has worked to build a community for sharing experiences and mutual support, while also practically enriching the inventor's toolkit. More specifically, it drew up the New Inventor's Roadmap, an extensive informational and guidance document on an inventor's first steps toward the market.

The speakers were Greek inventors and patent holders who presented their inventions and each invention's journey from conception to implementation and patenting. The program was completed by guidance talks from representatives of funding bodies (business angels, venture capital firms, etc.), who explained the ways and the necessary steps on the road to market.

The main topics covered at the event were:

  • Drones serving the environment and agriculture
  • Artificial intelligence serving the primary sector
  • Reliable injury-risk prediction serving professional athletes and their teams
  • Connecting Universities with local industry to develop immediately usable solutions that can be exported to similar units abroad
  • A museum demonstrating the unbroken continuity between Ancient Greek Technology and the modern global inventor

ena Development Consultants, Supporting Body of the eMT cluster, is proud to have had the opportunity to support Greek inventors in their effort to connect with entrepreneurship!
