The main event of TEDxDUTH:Redefine, held in the Amphitheater of the Civil Engineering school of Democritus University of Thrace in Xanthi last Saturday, October 22, came to a close with great success and the participation of many students and others.
ena Development Consultants, platinum sponsor of the conference, was there! Our team members watched, discussed, interacted, shared and learned, found inspiration in the highly interesting speakers and attendees, tried the delicious sandwiches offered by Rhino Estate Coffee Co. with Apostolos Papadopoulos Meat Company and the different flavors proposed by the students of IEK Delta 360, and above all… enjoyed a different, beautiful learning experience!

The ena Development Consultants booth at TEDxDUTH:Redefine
At the ena Development Consultants booth, all attendees had the opportunity to learn about our company's services and the projects it takes part in. More specifically, there was great interest both in the eMT Cluster, the first Innovation & Technology cluster in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, and in the Democritus University of Thrace Incubator, Thinc Thrace incubator, in which ena takes part as Supporting Body and contractor respectively. The enateam members staffing the booth and the Thinc Thrace incubator representative, Zoi Agathangelidou, answered visitors' questions and interacted with them.

The TEDxDUTH:Redefine Main Event
The Main Event was opened by Mr. Stavros Amoiras, Director of Strategic Planning & Development at ena Development Consultants, who spoke about the importance of initiatives such as TEDxDUTH and the value of the education and information such activities offer. The audience was then welcomed by representatives of two more of the conference sponsors, IEK Delta 360 and Thrace Plastics Group (Thrace Group).

This was followed by highly interesting talks on the conference's 4 core themes:
1. Inner Self
This first session addressed what is defined as a beginning, a genesis, and forms the foundation of Redefine. The speakers were Ms. Athanasia Sykiotou, Associate Professor of Law at Democritus University of Thrace and coordinator of the criminological sciences laboratory, and Ms. Vivi Anthopoulou, General Manager of the Lambrakis Foundation and an expert in management, strategic planning and other education. The session was closed by the improvlimatikoi, a subgroup of the improv section of the theater group of the Xanthi Students' Cultural Association “I Gefyra”, with a delightful performance.

2. Mass of Matter
The second session offered an extensive look at talks and experiences from people working in bodybuilding and, more generally, with body image and health. The speakers were Mr. Athanasios Alexopoulos, specializing in food hygiene and safety, Ms. Katerina Bompota, clinical fellow in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Sussex, UK & social media manager at Greek Women in STEM, and Mr. Akis Apostolidis, graduate of the Department of Production & Management Engineering of the School of Engineering of Democritus University of Thrace & creator of the channel “The Skeptic Theory”.

3. Alter Ego
In the third session, speakers Theodoros Liolios, Professor of Nuclear Physics & Weapons Sciences (Hellenic Army Academy) – Associate Dean & Chair of the Research Committee, and Giannis Skoulikaris, Physicist, Founder & CEO of Patent Mind LTD – Co-founder & CEO of Mind the Minds AMKE, talked about finding one's uniqueness and distinct self within the existing personality, shaped by the experiences and images gathered over one's life so far.

4. Coda
The fourth and final session, with speakers Giannis Korfiatis, mountain bike champion and host of the show “Van Life”, and special guest Rene Styliara, author, offered food for thought on how to develop a second self that frees people from stereotypes and prejudices and leads them, as they put it, to a final spark and the birth of a new way of thinking, acting and expressing themselves.

The ena Development Consultants workshop “The universe of entrepreneurship”
As part of the conference, Nana Zygoura, Business Development & Marketing Consultant and Trainer and a partner of ena, and Christos Pitiakoudis, Marketing Executive at the company, coordinated the ena Development Consultants workshop titled “The universe of entrepreneurship”.

Attendees, who filled the room, followed the presentation with great attention. The discussion covered the birth and evolution of a business idea, the environment in which it can grow, and the support that bodies and structures promoting entrepreneurship in the region can offer ambitious new entrepreneurs.

On that last point, there was a brief mention of the new #DigiAgriFood hub, the first European Digital Innovation Hub for Agri-food in Greece, in which ena Development Consultants takes part as a partner, as well as the two bodies mentioned above, the eMT cluster and Thinc Thrace incubator. ena Development Consultants takes part in every initiative that creates opportunities for growth, innovation and entrepreneurship in the wider Region of Eastern Macedonia & Thrace; it stands, and will continue to stand in even more ways in the future, by the people who want to invest in this fertile ground.
Besides the ena Development Consultants workshop, between the 4 sessions attendees also had the opportunity to take part in other workshops held in parallel with the main event, on leadership, education, entrepreneurship, soft skills and more.

TEDxDUTH career: Interviews with participants
During the conference, ena Development Consultants also took part in the parallel activity TEDxDUTH career, where interested participants had the opportunity to meet the event's sponsor companies, hand in their CVs and have interviews with their representatives.

As part of this activity, Katerina Vasileiou, Coordinator of Advisory Services for the Secondary & Tertiary Sector at ena Development Consultants, met young people who want to join our company's workforce and who made the most of this unique opportunity to impress with their CVs and personalities.
